I wanted to share my photos from Italy with those of you who aren't on Facebook. And, I also wanted to share two more videos that our crew shot during our time there…enjoy! :)
OMG! I almost forgot Lucky! I had to go back and get him. I wonder what else I forgot? Guess I'll find out when I get there.
Waiting to board the plane. These international flights carry a lot of people! From the left is Scott, me, Joe, Helene and Carrie. Just part of the village it takes to put on the shows.
Just landed in Venice. I think we're going to need a bigger van :)
Now this is what I call a work environment! Wow...Venice is beautiful.
It’s an easy place to get inspiration! :)
In all the times I have visited Venice, I have never gone across the lagoon to San Giorgio Maggiore. This view from the bell tower is breathtaking. If you have a chance to go, I highly recommend it.
San Giorgio Maggiore, the beautiful church across the lagoon from St Marks. It was designed by Andrea Palladio, and you get a beautiful view of Venice. :)
It's dinner in Venice. We have a courtyard to ourselves as we eat alfresco. This was Jacopo's dinner. Very Italian. :)
Everything in Venice looks like a movie set. It's easy to forget that people really live here.
This is the market in Venice. It is not far from the Rialto Bridge. The fresh fruits and vegetables are brought in daily. It looks so good!
We stopped at the open air market by the Rialto Bridge and bought some fresh fruit. This is the remains of the best strawberry EVER! OMG it tasted like a strawberry! (You know what I mean.) :)
We're very "high brow" when we shoot B-roll in Venice. It's hot, we're tired, and we just decided to take advantage of some shade and eat the rest of the strawberries. You gotta get by! From the left: me, Jacopo, and Scott.
We left Venice for Padua this afternoon, but I had to include one more picture. You know a place is beautiful when a cell phone camera takes a picture like this. :)
Good morning from Padua! Angelo, our stylist, and I are off to do some exploring. Hope you have a great day. :)
This is from our walk into town. It's just a beautiful area. :)
Venice is such a magical city and this year we wanted you to experience it with us through a video tour! Click here {http://qvc.co/TourofVenice} to watch.
I bundled up as soon as I got off the air, I was freezing!!! Have to figure something out for tonight, so I can function!
Good morning from Padua! Do you think they'd let me move in here?
We finished up at 6am local time. The crew took everything down, rewound all the cables and we're spending the afternoon in Venice, before flying back in the morning. We'll sleep on the plane. Don't want to waste a minute! Hope you're having a great day.
The whole crew is out for dinner. Angelo ordered the Caprese. It looks like Cinderella's coach and it's filled with mozzarella! Isn't that amazing?! :)
I love to look at the doors on the older buildings in Italy. They don't make them like that anymore!
It is true that Mozzarella never tastes the same in the states. Something about Italy. :)
It is early morning in Venice and we are all gathering to leave. I wanted to share this picture as it is one of my favorites; "The Bridge of Sighs". It is a sad story but a beautiful bridge. Venice is full of wonderful stories. :)
Arrivederci Italia, I could never tire of Italy. I could never visit without gratitude, wonder and joy. Thank you for sharing this trip with me. See you back in the States.
See you soon! More pictures to come. :)
