Hello from Lake Tahoe! Have you ever been here? It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

The first day and a half of my vacation has been busy! But busy with wonderful things. Tuesday evening consisted of a delicious dinner, (an all too good dessert), catching up, long games of "Tickle Monster" with my nephews, a stuffed animal battle (where I ended up getting buried under a pile of them!), a bedtime story, and a later than usual bedtime with all the excitement. I know! That was just the first evening! The next morning we did a kickboxing class while the boys took Karate, (I am going to be sore tomorrow!). Then we showered and got ready thinking the exercise was over, but it wasn't! My brother is working on finishing a wall of stone and boulders. With him and my 78 year old Dad out there hauling rock, my sister and I couldn't look like weaklings, so we had to join in. Hauling boulders is hard work!

After that, I thought our exercise was over, but no! My brother decided we were going mountain biking....OMG, I was so scared on those trails with stones, sand, ditches, downed trees, steep hills, hairpin turns, etc., I thought I was going to hyperventilate...and possibly die, but I didn't do either. It did occur to me as I was afraid for my life that my employer might frown on an activity that is life threatening, so let's not tell them.

In the evening we got to see my 6-year-old nephew play hockey and he's really good!

Then dinner out on the deck before climbing up on the roof to watch the sunset. What a day. What a trip. What a lucky girl I am. :)

See you on the 18th, hope you are having a great week too. :)
