Over the last few weeks I have been talking about the people that have come to mean a lot to me in my years at QVC. After all, it is the people that make our lives what they are. I have talked about the people I work with in the studio, who have come to mean a great deal to me; the guests who have become good friends; the people who have made my time at QVC such an amazing 20 years.
Now, I want to talk about you. I am not sure you realize what a difference you make. We have shared a lot you and I, the good and the bad. We have shared jokes, fashion, beauty, Christmas decorating, laughter and sorrow, advice and encouragement, triumph and loss, cooking and burning things, teasing, late night snacks, books, movies, sleeplessness, etc.
You have become a part of my every day. I know you listen to me, but I want you to know that I listen to you, too. You have been a bigger help, a greater source of comfort and a more welcome diversion when I have needed it, than anything else I can think of. How would you describe a friend? Someone who you care for who is there for for you, who you share things with? We have become good friends, and I want to thank you.
As I take this next turn in my life, I would like to put you in my pocket and take you with me, but I don't have to. You can be with me on Facebook, and in person when we run into each other along the way. I have loved having you as part of my life, and I hope you will continue to be there.
I am not sure what the future brings, but one thing is for sure: it won't be boring!
Thank you for 20 years, I'll see you soon :)
